I'm just going to say it. I am PROUD of myself, because I finally said to myself, "Self. You are going to bite the bullet and try cell shading." And then I DID. And it wasn't a complete and utter FAILURE. And thus, I am PLEASED. Naturally, this is far, far, far from perfect. To be completely honest, I didn't know what the hell I was doing. But bearing that in mind, I think it came out fairly decently. And another thank-you to deviant dreor, whose suggestions salvaged the lineart on this.

Aaaanyway. Ashes again, my newest X-universe creation. There's one other picture of this character in my gallery, but at that point she was just a physical concept and I didn't know squat about her in terms of personality or history. Now I've got a slightly better sense of the character, and so I was able to incorporate a bit more soul into this depiction, I think.

Now I'm off to work on my kiriban~
